Help us influence policymakers in Poland

HEAL has been active in Poland for the past ten years, to engage the Polish health and medical sector, to communicate the latest science on how environmental pollution and climate change affect people’s health, and to advocate for more health protective and preventative policies. Our evidence on the health impacts and cost of air pollution (especially from coal power generation, transport) helped to shape public and policy debates at the national, regional and local level.

We work in collaboration with leading Polish health organisations and medical professionals to advocate in deliberations on clean air laws, transport policies, the Polish energy strategy, climate policies, the COVID-19 recovery fund, increasingly linking the EU and national level. The 2025 Polish EU Presidency provides for exciting advocacy opportunities.

We are looking for a new Advocacy and Campaigns Officer to join our team in Poland – we need someone who:

…   has at least 2 years of experience in advocacy and campaigning in an NGO setting

…   knows the ins and outs of policymaking in Poland

…   is passionate about creating change and ensuring we can lead healthy lives on a healthy planet

As our new Advocacy and Campaigns Officer, you’ll join our Polish team to support the implementation of our advocacy and campaign activities of the HEAL programme in Poland. You’ll work closely with HEAL members and partners, represent HEAL in collaboration spaces with other civil society organisations, monitor key policy and network developments (especially on air quality, climate, energy and chemicals), and engage with local and national policymakers and other key stakeholders to promote HEAL positions and call on them to enact evidence-based, health protective policies.
