Stefan initially joined HEAL as Head of Human Resources. He is HEAL’s Director of Operations, and organises and oversees the organisation’s operational and support services to ensure that HEAL runs smoothly and efficiently. He is responsible for overseeing operations planning and management, compliance and governance, finance and risk, people and culture, and information systems. He’s also in charge of the Brussels office.
Before joining HEAL, Stefan worked in management and leadership positions in public sector departments and not-for-profit organisations in Europe and New Zealand. Most recently, he co-managed the International Secretariat of Peace Brigades International, an international human rights NGO, where he was in charge of governance. He also held several volunteer leadership positions in professional and environmental protection organisations, as spokesperson, as board member and as HR and learning and development lead.
