Panagiotis works with the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA), an EU-level umbrella organisation representing the voice of allergy, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients across Europe. With a membership of 45 national associations in 26 European countries, EFA works closely with its patient community to ensure the right to live uncompromised lives, access high-quality care and a safe environment for all.
With experience in EU politics and environmental policy, Panagiotis is today leading EFA’s Prevention portfolio, advocating for change on issues that are key for respiratory and allergy patients, such as air quality, climate change, tobacco, and chemicals. In his role, Panagiotis also represents EFA in key policy fora, such as the EU Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform, and is a member of the Network Advisory Board of the European Human Exposome Network.
At HEAL, Panagiotis brings the patient perspective in the discussions that lie at the intersection of health and environment, adding a vital element in the advocacy for better disease prevention and health protection.
