373 civil society and Indigenous Peoples organizations from 74 countries urged leaders at a historic global conference to act with urgency to phase out Highly Hazardous Pesticides (HHPs), a particular group of pesticides that cause the most severe harm to human health and the environment and are considered too dangerous for use.
Ahead of this week’s REACH committee meeting, seven environment and health NGOs call for stricter proposals on textiles, phthalates and nanomaterials.
The letter was sent to all members of the REACH Committee by the European Environmental Bureau (EEB), on behalf of the Center for International and Environmental Law (CIEL), ClientEarth, EcoCity, Ecologistas en Acción, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL), and Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF).
