In 2025, HEAL welcomed several new organisations into its international network of over 70 members committed to advancing health through environmental action. These new members bring valuable expertise in public health, environmental justice, and sustainable policy, further strengthening the capacity of the alliance to help face the challenges from biodiversity loss, pollution and climate change. The Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL), together with the European Federation of Allergy & Airways Diseases Patients´ Association (EFA), the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) has sent a joint letter to members of the Environment Council of the European Union on the urgency of EU action on air quality in 2020.
