NGO letter: restricting PVC and its additives under REACH

HEAL, alongside Zero Waste Europe, Health Care Without Harm Europe, ZERO – Association for the Sustainability of the Earth System, Gallifrey Foundation, the Center for International Environmental Law, Surfrider Foundation Europe, the Rethink Plastic Alliance, Ecologistas en Acción, Health and Environment Justice Support, and Green Transition Denmark, sent a letter to Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, Stéphane Séjourné, and Commissioner for Industry, SMEs, and the Single Market, Jessika Roswall, urging the European Commission to take immediate and ambitious action to restrict polyvinyl chloride (PVC) under the REACH Regulation.

The NGOs have gathered the further support of over 60 NGOs and 67 000 individuals in an European wide petition asking the EU to phase out PVC by 2030 – sign the petition here..
