In 2025, HEAL welcomed several new organisations into its international network of over 70 members committed to advancing health through environmental action. These new members bring valuable expertise in public health, environmental justice, and sustainable policy, further strengthening the capacity of the alliance to help face the challenges from biodiversity loss, pollution and climate change. In a letter to the European Parliament, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) was joined by civil society organisations and businesses to demand the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) prioritizes healthy indoor environments and binding measures to improve the energy performance of buildings in Europe.
The letter, that was coordinated by Buildings 2030 and HEAL, was send to Members of the European Parliament involved in EPBD trialogue negotiations, and can be viewed online here.
