Hannah Donart is a Senior Science Policy Officer in the Health and Chemicals Programme at the Health and Environmental Alliance (HEAL). She provides technical and scientific support to strengthen and promote prevention focused, health-based EU chemical policies for industrial chemicals under REACH and the CLP.
Prior to joining HEAL, she worked as the Acting Director for the Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE), partnering with experts and organisations in the field to disseminate the latest environmental health science to a broad audience. She has led coalitions alongside diverse stakeholders in Washington, DC, and Maryland to successfully advocate for environmentally sustainable, health protective policies and regulations relevant to plastic waste reduction, water quality, indoor air quality, and safer cleaning and disinfecting in schools.
Her career is grounded in environmental justice, advocating for stronger environmental health protections and amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable, disproportionately burdened communities.
