WECF: Successful high level conference on integrating chemical safety in Belgrade

In April, Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF) organised a successful high-level conference on integrating chemical safety in Belgrade, Serbia.

The beacon event opened by Mrs. Leposava Sojic, Assistant Minister of Energy Development and Environmental protection of Serbia, Borka Jeremic, representing the UN Country Team in Serbia and Sascha Gabizon, Executive Director of WECF International, set standards for the post 2014 development agenda of the Balkan countries.

The Conference entitled “Chemical and product safety in the Western Balkans” addressed shared lessons learnt from a two year EU-funded project on the issue. Preliminary results of the national consultations on possible priorities for a post-2015 development agenda were presented along with recommendations.
