WECF International – One step towards a safer blood bag

Chantal Van den Bossche, Project Manager of the Life ChildProtect program at Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF), spoke at the final seminar of the PVC Free Blood Bag Life+ Program in Ostersund, Sweden.

The seminar presented the projects achievements and future challenges of the past five years, showing results, user tests and Life Cycle Assessments.

Since the ChildProtect Program shares the objective of the PVC Free Blood Bag programme about phasing out EDCs, WECF were invited to focus on how to raise awareness among health professionals and consumers and businesses on these chemicals.

Representatives from other international projects and organisations sharing the PVC Free Blood Bag objectives were also present.
