Vivo Sano: National Conference on endocrine disruptors

Fundación Vivo Sano participated at the national conference on endocrine disruptors which took place during the XII Congress on environmental health from 12 – 14 June in Granada.

Vivo Sano gave two presentations – the first one by Carlos de Prada, Director of the campaign ‘Toxic-free home’ which is the first initiative in Spain to demand to ban BPA in all food contact materials. The second presentation by Nadia Bennich focused on the importance of building a good network and cooperation among NGOs, policy makers and scientific experts on EDC issues.

The meeting concluded with a call for the implementation of the precautionary principle, since there are no clear thresholds under which BPA, for example, can be considered safe.
