RES: Third French Cancer Plan: another opportunity loss to tackle environmental causes?

Réseau Environnment Santé (RES) highlights the recent third French cancer plan promoted by the French President.

This plan brings out social inequalities and tobacco as the main causes of cancer, but keeps overlooking environmental causes which remain more and more significant. Hormone-dependent cancers such as breast cancers have increased by 14 percent in the past four years.

France has even become the third worst country in the world after Belgium and Denmark regarding breast cancer statistics and the second for prostate cancers after Norway. RES says endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) continue to contribute to feeding current cancer and future generational cancers with poor consideration from national leaders.
