EPHA: Guide on the EU and Health 2013

The EPHA Secretariat, with nearly two decades of expertise in advocating for better health in Europe, has created this handbook to ease the reader’s journey into EU Public Health competences; its legislative basis, stakeholders, policies, funding and key upcoming developments. Indeed, whilst the 28 Member States retain autonomy over their national health policies, Brussels is able to set minimum standards through a wide range of public health instruments.

In a nutshell, this guide is a compilation of the most up-to-date information on EU Public Health policies for the benefit of all.
