Réseau Environnement Santé (RES)

The national French network ‘RES – Réseau Environnement Santé’ (Environment Health Network) brings NGOs, health professionals, patients, scientists and citizens together and was launched under the aegis of the Alliance pour la Planète and more particularly the following NGOs: WWF France, Fondation Sciences Citoyennes, MDRGF, Fac Verte, Objectif Bio et Nord Ecologie Conseil. Other founding members are associations of health professionals and patient organizations and victims: CNMSE (National Medical Health Coordination Environment), the C2DS (Committee on Sustainable Development in Health) and MCS SOS (Association of Persons Living with Syndrome Multiple Chemical Sensitivities).

The Association aims to:

  • Protect the health of the living world: humans and its environment
  • Propose solutions that take into account the health-environment interactions, and vice versa
  • Accompany individuals or legal representatives of sufferers of health damage associated with environmental degradation
  • Encourage the development of existing legislation with a view to better address health and environment issues,
  • Optimize existing resources to ensure the dissemination, as widely as possible, of validated scientific information
  • Encourage the relationship with institutions and scientists to meet the local and global actions for a better quality of life especially initiated by whistle-blowers
  • Reduce or eliminate the health impacts, including in the workplace, caused by environmental degradation and various forms of pollution
