HEAL and several of members participated in the Second World Health Organization Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health in Colombia, March 2025, to showcase how health engagement for clean air can make a difference, and to underline the urgency to act.
HEAL, alongside other organisations, are calling for on Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, to commit to revise the Toy Safety law in the European public interest and protect Europe’s children from the most harmful chemicals in toys.
The Commission’s proposal on the Toy Safety Regulation was a step in the right direction, especially opening up the possibility of restricting hormone-disrupting chemicals for human health. But it is missing several important protection aspects, such as plans to restrict PFAS and bisphenols group.
