Eva Takaria

Eva is HEAL’s Health and Climate Change Officer. She is responsible for HEAL’s health and fossil fuel subsidy work, coordinating the Choose Health campaign, identifying activities & advocacy work with stakeholders and liaising with HEAL policy officers to link this narrative to other policy areas. She furthermore provides support for linkages to the Europe Beyond Coal campaign, and supports activities in other HEAL projects such as Healthy Buildings and air quality work for Unmask My City.

Before joining HEAL, Eva worked as an intern at the public health service GGD Zuid-Limburg in the Netherlands focusing on the topic of Care and Advise Teams. Eva holds a BSc of Science in European Public Health, and a MSc of Science in Global Health from the University of Maastricht.

During her studies, she lived in Copenhagen for half a year during her minor Nutrition and Health. After that she spent half a year in India working on Medical Social Work. Post graduating, she travelled for half a year through South-East Asia and Australia. Travelling and exploring other cultures has developed into one of her passions. In her free time Eva enjoys cooking, books, forest walks and sports.
