The expertise of HEAL and our member organisations is often called upon to bring health and environment concerns into issues which are outside our core policy areas.
Currently, we are providing input or working in partnership with other groups on the health implications of noise, electromagnetic fields, shale gas fracturing, and nanotechnology as well as environmental cancer causation, asthma and allergies and human biomonitoring.
We also follow closely the debates on health and general EU strategic and policy development. Ensuring access to information and citizens’ participation in all EU policy-related matters is one of our cross-cutting issues.
