Have your say in the consultation on chronic diseases

The European Commission (EC) has launched a long awaited consultation on the EU reflection process on chronic diseases. It is inviting stakeholders, including patient organizations, health professionals and healthcare providers to provide their view on a number of questions outlined in their discussion paper. Environmental pollution is an important factor to be considered in chronic diseases, as well as social inequalities. HEAL and its members have been repeatedly highlighting the environmental and social dimension of chronic diseases because an ambitious EU environmental protection agenda can provide many opportunities for chronic disease prevention.
