Many diseases and conditions are linked to contaminants in our environments. The science on the health impacts of environmental pollution is growing. This environmental burden of disease could be prevented or limited by stronger policy action.

HEAL welcomed a new report from the World Health Organization (WHO), which highlights why environmental risk reduction is essential in NCD prevention and that 23% of deaths globally can be prevented through healthier environments. Read more…

Join HEAL at Global Climate & Health Summit in Germany
The Summit will focus, through a health lens, on action to advance implementation of the Paris Agreement and build momentum for increased ambition in climate commitments on November 11, 2017.
