Diana G. Smith
Diana G. Smith has been working with HEAL as a freelance communication and media consultant since 2004. She provides guidance on the overall communication strategy of the organisation and manages relations with the press, radio and television as well as with specialist publications covering EU policy, medicine, health, and environmental issues.
Before joining HEAL, Diana was editor of the European Public Health Update magazine at the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) and has undertaken consultancies at many international governmental and other non-governmental organisations, including OECD, UNICEF, UNFPA, Medicins sans Frontieres and several HEAL and EPHA member organisations.
Previously, she worked in Geneva at the World Health Organization and at the World Council of Churches; as a freelance contributor to BBC radio, national press and magazines in London, and as the editor of Far East Health, a UK magazine for doctors in Asia. She has a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
