On 25 April 2008, the International Cancer Prevention Conference took place in the premises of the University of Stirling, Scotland. The conference addressed issues related to the occupational and environmental exposures to carcinogens and how to prevent such exposures. The key aims of this conference were to contribute the international debate, influence initiatives on the subject and discuss various approaches adopted in different countries and globally.
The event was attended by the international researchers and scientists, policy makers, politicians, NGOs (including HEAL), environmental groups, trade unions, local authorities and those industries involved in effective toxics use reduction.
