The proceedingsof the Summit on Environmental Challenges to Reproductive Health and Fertility that took place in January 2007 are now available in Elsevier and Fertility and Sterility journal.
The meeting organised by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and the Collaborative on Health and Environment (CHE) gathered scientific researchers, health professionals, civil society groups, politicians and the media to discuss exposure to environmental contaminants and long term consequences on fertility and reproductive health. Vulnerability of people during specific time periods, the need for communication and policy and effects of long term exposures were the main axes of the discussion.
All the presentations and a series of recommendations released during the summit are now available in full on UCSF Medical Center on Women’s Health website here.
