Children’s environment and health projects featured on the NGO CEHAPE implementation website

All projects submitted by NGOs and youth organisations across Europe in the framework of the CEHAPE Award contest have been published on the "Healthier Environments for Children" website. Brief descriptions of the projects can be found under CEHAPE in progress by Country, section ‘Case Studies’.

Financially supported by the Government of Austria and coordinated by the Health & Environment Alliance, Eco-Forum, Women in Europe for a Common Future and ISDE Austria, the CEHAPE AWARD contest was launched in March with the aim to bring attention to some of the excellent projects that are helping to reduce the harm to children from environmental hazards, such as unsafe water, polluted air, injuries and chemicals in Europe.

The competition was highly successful. We have received over 100 applications from 32 countries in the WHO European Region. Among the applicants there were NGOs, local authorities, youth organizations and public health institutes. The applications were evaluated by a jury composed of international experts from the health and environment sectors.

The winning projects are featured in our "CEHAPE Award booklet.
