AWHHE was created in 1999. It is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, which involves experienced specialists: epidemiologists, ecologists/environmentalists, hygienists, pediatrician, teachers.
Even prior to its official registration in the Ministry of Justice, AWHHE aimed all their efforts at collecting information on the status of reproductive health among women and detection of the main sources of toxic pollutants in the country.
AWHHE is active on the following issues related to EEN policy priorities:
Children’s environment and health
EU Action Plan on Env and Health
Pesticides
Chemicals
Mercury
Aarhus convention
AWHHE is a full member since 2005 and AWHHE counts 47 members.
