The Green 10 group of environmental NGOs, of which EPHA Environment Network is a member, sent an open letter to the Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) Council, meeting on 5 May 2006 to debate the EU’s Sustainable Development Strategy.

The Green 10 call upon Economics and Finance Ministers to give an active input into the process that the Austrian Presidency has organized involving all formations of the Council, hopefully leading to the adoption of a reinforced Sustainable Development Strategy by the European Council in June this year.

In particular, the Green 10 drew the Ministers’ attention to the Action Points and Key Actions proposed in the joint Green 10 publication ”A programme for Sustainable Development of the European Union”.
