The Greens Movement of Georgia / FoE-Georgia and Friends of the Earth International with the support of HIVOS Foundation and Humane Earth Foundation are organizing the GMO-Free Conference and Workshop in the end of April 2006 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Main aims of the Conference and Workshop are:
 To raise awareness about the experience of European countries on GM-Free regions campaign in EECCA countries
 To raise NGO capacity on GMO campaigning issues in Caucasus and EECCA region
 To elaborate common position and strategies of EECCA countries on GMOs
 To provide the Governments of EECCA countries with reliable recommendations regarding GM-Free regions and necessary steps for creation of such areas

The Event will bring together GMO campaigners from former Soviet countries and European Union. The campaigners will have the possibility to discuss actual aspects of GMO campaign and spreading European movement for GMO Free regions in the EECCA countries.
